Building contracts fixed all over Scotland

It has come to light recently that building firms in Scotland have been fixing contracts.

That is say Balfour Beaty and Company X bid for a building contract. Both bids are artificially high in value but one cheaper than the other. There is a kickback to the company who wins the contract to the other company who bid higher – everyone is a winner.

It involves many of the big named construction companies.
